Breathe.
You have been through so much.
-
Nourish.
Your body has been through alot.
It carried a life while sustaining yours.
Be gentle with it as it grieves with you.
Order in confinement meals from here- recently road tested by mothers who have gone down this path before to be exactly what your healing body needs. The extra mile was taken to ensure there are no lactating ingredients.
-
Heal.
Get a series of postpartum massages to help contract the uterus for recovery. Alternatively, regular massages to soothe your weary body and spirit will also aid in your overall recovery.
Do what you need to help your body relax. Breathe in some essential oils, brew a warm cup of chamomile lavender tea, have a few medicinal baths with TCM bath packs or with Held to Heal’s bath brews- specially formulated to combine western and eastern methods for healing and relaxation. -
Allow.
Allow yourself to feel al the feelngs. Cry it out. Speak to a trusted friend/family member. Get counselling, go for therapy. Write it down in a journal. The best way to recover is to allow yourself to go through all the emotions, while knowing that this is not the end of your story.
There is hope. There is a future.
You are loved.

Cherish and celebrate.
In the midst of deep loss, take a moment to also celebrate the life you carried. Only when you are ready, of course.
Here are some ways other loss families have honoured the lives of the babies we did not get to hold for long on earth.Write a letter to your baby,
have the scans from your appointment scanned and digitised so you don’t lose them over time,
consider putting ther birth date on your calendar so you can celebrate them every year,
have an ornament customised or purchased to place on the tree at christmas,
press the flowers that you receive during this time and frame it up,
or do nothing at all.
Anything, or nothing at all, as long as it helps you heal.
